Clinical Associate Positions

The PSCTC has very active Assessment Clinics that offer psycho-educational assessments and/or consultation for children, youth and adult students (grade 12 to post-secondary) who have questions about their cognitive, academic, social-emotional, or behavioural strengths and weaknesses in order to provide diagnoses and/or to develop strategies to meet their individual learning needs.  The centre also offers a number of intervention programs.  The PSCTC provides both clinical training and exemplary psychoeducational assessment and intervention services on a fee for service basis.  We are open to expressions of interest from qualified Registered Psychologists who may wish to become Clinical Associates of the PSCTC and participate in the ongoing clinical services and training activities of the PSCTC.  Interested psychologists are encouraged to contact the Director, Dr. William McKee: https://psctc.educ.ubc.ca/contact-us/

Psychologist Position at the Psychological Services and Counselling Training Centre (PSCTC) in the Faculty of Education at UBC Vancouver

We are seeking to fill a Psychologist position for the PSCTC.   The successful candidate will be a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia.  The nature of the appointment and responsibilities of the Psychologist will depend on the profile of the successful candidate.  Two profiles are characterized and described below, the first as a Leadership Psychologist, the second as an Early Career Psychologist.  The Lead psychologist will have a minimum of 5 years clinical service and experience in supervision of clinical practice.  The position requires preparation and desire to provide leadership of clinical services for the PSCTC.  The Early Career Psychologist will have relevant training and experience in the provision of psychoeducational assessment and intervention services for children and youth, and clear ability to mentor and supervise the clinical services provided at the PSCTC.  Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Director, Dr. William McKee: https://psctc.educ.ubc.ca/contact-us/

 Leadership Psychologist Position:

A Registered Psychologist who serves as professional practice leader of the Psychological Services and Counselling Training Centre (PSCTC) in the Faculty of Education.  The position provides clinical and professional practice leadership for delivery of and training in multi-faceted psychoeducational assessment and intervention services. Position includes planning, coordination, development, direct service delivery, supervision and administration of clinical services, programs and training activities.  The position will support the development of specialized clinical services that reflect the competence and interests of the successful candidate.

Early Career Psychologist Position:

Serves as a Registered Psychologist in the Psychological Services and Counselling Training Centre (PSCTC) in the Faculty of Education.  The psychologist provides clinical service delivery and supports training in multi­faceted psychoeducational assessment and intervention services. Position includes development, direct service delivery, and supervision of clinical services, programs and training activities, and support for the administration of PSCTC activities.  The position may include the development and provision of specialized clinical services that reflect the competence of the successful candidate.
